4th cow with BSE found in US

In the US, 80 million+ cows are consumed each year. The USDA only tests 40,000 of those. A diseased cow hasn’t been found in 6 years. Creekstone did not win; the USDA will not allow independent testing of cows in the US. Therefore the USDA controls ALL testing of cows in America’s food supply and tests the smallest fraction possible. This is how bad they do not want cases to be found. FYI, if we demand the USDA tests all cows in the US for human consumption, it would only cost each of us 10 CENTS EXTRA PER PACKAGE. Beef company profits are therefore more important than our personal health. I’d pay the extra 10 cents, wouldn’t you?

What I’m doing these days re: CJD

It is 2012. My mom died in 2004. That means nearly 8 years have passed since her death. Recently, it dawned on me to gather her medical records for the greater good and submit them to various research projects, basically, whatever I can find.

Try to gather medical records after 8 years. Try.

The moral of the story is to gather the records of your loved on who has died of CJD as soon after their death as possible, even if you don’t think you will EVER do anything with them. You just might need them. Perhaps down the line another family dies of CJD and you therefore have reason to suspect it is genetic (familial or fCJD). That’s what happened in our case, sort of.

You can always keep medical records for your own purposes, just to have a copy for your own needs at any point in your life. If you wish, you can always copy them to send to research institutions.

Maybe the gamers can figure out how prions misfold too.

My blog, "CURECJD."

Christin Lord made this video tribute to her son Andrew. Watch and learn; it’s not just a remembrance. It’s loaded with information about CJD and how it killed so many in the UK, many of those lost were very young like Andrew Black.
